I don't think there has been too much difference between Wise and Sturrock sides really. Flattered to deceive under Wise at times. We do seem to have a real problem defending though - what are we paying the defence coach cos it doesn't seem to be working. the results are starting to beg to differ. |

Well I've got a theory on this based on some research I did for Uni so won't bore you with it.
But in a nutshell football has changed and has moved into more scientific management and much more fitness based. The old school traditional managers are slowly disappearing and instead younger managers who embrace the new ideas are the ones that are being successful. Sturrock is a good manager but in traditional terms, the drinking is back that Wise got rid of, and players now need to have their roles clearly defined like Wise used to. Wise's methods don't seem to be working at Leeds, though ... I think at Leeds there's an undercurrent that will prevent anyone doing well there. There are some 'bad eggs' in the Leeds squad and I think there are some issues on and off the pitch that Wise is struggling with. In this league though he had a good preseason and had pretty much sussed what was needed. We may not of scored much under him but he had the defence solid as a unit, something we certainly aren't now |

Wise got a hold of it for a while but Sturrock doesn't seem to have. It's going to take him a while to weed those players out, IMO |

I don't think Sturrock is the trump card the board hoped for anymore though. I heard people on Saturday saying they wouldn't be really fussed if he did go, it may be early to be critical of him, but set pieces are something you can work on and we seem no better dealing with them now than a couple of months ago
