With Ady Williams expected to be out for an "unspecified time" it raises the questions as to why we let Charlie Comyn Platt go - im sure CCP would have fitted into centre back much more effectively than Jamie Vincent did - he was way too short for the role and it showed. As most teams have large forwards and kick it long this is going to make us vulnerable in the air.

Now its reported that we may make a loan signing to cover the area - seems ridiculous when we had a player to play there and gave him away to Rochdale!

Also we are looking woefully short of firepower up front .. Lukas needs to be given a chance - Roberts is looking particularly poor of late - However Sturrock seems to be deflecting criticism of this away .. yet its abundantly clear that is where our main problem is and has been all season.

Also cant quite understand Weston not playing when our midfield is currently not dominating games due to Pook and Timlin both being too similar ie HOLDING midfielders - the drive of Weston is needed.

If we dont address there problems we will be in the playoffs and almost certain NOT to win them IMO

Roberts looked threatening on saturday. And IMO, peacock and roberts is our best strikeforce. Lukas has talent, but is too much of a similar player to peacock.

Exactly. Drop pook.

Not trying to be negative just realistic... but we should be coasting through this division ... and we seem to be going backwards not forwards. Playing well for 30 minutes isnt good enough and questions the fitness of the players

I think from what Sturrock has said he believes Weston Pook and Timlin are all 'attacking' midfielders, but Timlin is the only on with the qualities to play in the more defensive role so he makes him play there due to Evans being missing.  Pook is meant to be the attacking one, and did burst forward occasionally, however he has a distinct lack in quality IMHO and looks mediocre at best.  Missing Evans massively - he has 4 goals this season, Brown, Shakes, Pook, Zaboub, Weston and Timlin have about 7 between them!

I dont think the players fitness was at fault for our second half performance on saturday. I just think we got complacent and thought we'd be able to coast the match. As it turned out, darlington must of had a rocket at half time, and obviously wanted the game more.

Letting CCP go struck me at the time as a very strange decision and it still does.

I hate to say it, but for the first and only time this season, I am actually slightly concerned that we will not make automatic promotion.

I would not fancy us in the play offs if that happened. Basically, I'm agreeing with you Fatboy

Statements like that don't do much for your credibility....Darlo are a much bigger club than us.....you might not like to admit it but nevertheless its true.

A number of other clubs in or around us have invested in new players...whereas Luggy has no doubt been asked to reduce the wage bill, and so has done it the best way he's been able.

We are where we are on merit.....in fact we may be currently overachieving.

Of course....if this Board are allowed to remain in place, then the full desperation of the situation will be revealed.....cost cutting all round, gates down to sub 4000 and possible flirtation with the Coinference.

ccp was not up to it.agree cover would come in handy but vincent did alright on saturday.
i think weston might get a start tomorrow but the two in the middle aint done badly overall.
as for up front,of course a new striker would be nice but lets be honest we were damn unlucky not to win on saturday.
there aint much wrong with the side imo

I couldn't understand why Vincent was at centre-back and Nicho was at left-back when our previous manager was adamant that Nicho could play there comfortably. In fact I still don't understand it, Nicho did well at centre-back when he played there at the start of the season.

The mind boggles.
