Why do we persist in dropping Peacock into midfield when we have Curtis Weston on the bench and we're chasing a winner. Lukas is not at the same level as Pea, and despite the fact that both Peacock and Roberts can be incredibly frustrating, at this level they are both quality players. Weston must be tearing his hair out watching first Pook picked over him, despite his awful performances of late, and now a centre forward being played out of position!

agree entirely, I don't think Sturrock can do good substitutions either which is a worry

Peacock is fairly steady in midfield if we are defending because he can hold the ball up and is strong in the air and gets through alot of closing down work
However, an attacking minded midfield he is not....if we're chasing a goal their is no point in dropping him into midfield.
we should have taken a defender off and gone 3-4-3 with Peacock, Jutkiewicz and Sturrock upfront

He can't play in midfield DV, however much it would suit us. Pook and Timin might be poor, but he's not the answer.

I think he can do a job in midfield defensivly....but not attacking wise

I just don't think he can pass well enough to do that job, say like Timlin did against Walsall, he seems too slow to react to opportunities. And it's not that I don't rate him upfront, but the constant dives or fouls(that make him less likely to get a decision in his favour) do my nut.

i think its down to Luggy's formations to be honest. if you looked at the way we lined up yesterday the 2 wide men went forward to support RoboCock up front and Timlin/Pook sat back to help out the defence. almost like a 4-2-4 formation

id much rather see weston an timlin in midfield. peacock is a striker and maybe he can slot into midfield if we are desperate, but he is not a natural there. play weston, he showed good form and creativity at the start of the season so give him another chance!
