why was he refused entry?

....?

I think I've missed something somewhere

he was told he wasnt aloud in with his camera, despite bringing it in all season and having a press pass. so he took the camera and put it in the trust offices. then came back and was searched. during which he joked with the steward that he hopes they didnt find his machete! at which point they called the police who came and took a statement. the stewards refused him entry in the TE. he went and bought a ticket for the south stand instead then got thrown out of there. what a load of tossers. when he got thrown out he rang ben lambert and said come and sort this out. so he came down and just said he couldnt do anything and walked off.

utter tosser in my opinion.

great way to treat your own fans...

Surely...they would have searched alan and realised he didnt really have a machete on him...and if he did, he would have got it out and stabbed them with it for not letting him in anyway.

If the club wont even back its own paying fans then  they might as well fuck off now

I always say something about them not finding the bomb/knife/dead baby when I get searched. They've never called the police on me. Cunts. I feel left out.

 Yes

I'm sick of the way things are currently being run and judging by yesterdays attendance quite a few people are aswell.

Ive got to say, some of you seem to be a bit wet behind the ears as regards this sort of thing.

I know 1 lad who was accused by a steward of throwing a bottle in the Town End 3 years ago. They took him to court and he had to pay for a lawyer, which he couldnt afford. They said they had CCTV (which was a lie) in the hope that he would plead guilty. It was thrown out, because they had no CCTV, but it cost him a lot of money. He didnt throw that bottle, it came from 3 rows behind him.

Another lad had to go back to Bournemouth 3 times to court before it was thrown out after doing nothing more than chanting in the ground (at opposition supporters). Again days off work, lawyer, transport.

Plenty worse has happened to plenty of Town fans before. Be thankful they didnt find some reason to arrest him (theyve probably got plenty of laws regarding football) and stick him in a magistrates court.

Football supporters have been shafted for the last 10 years. Were all supposed to be perfect. Didnt you know that?..........

In all honesty Spence, if a court case is dismissed through lack of evidence etc then a cost award should have been made in favour of the defendant .

Maybe in your high profile on the news, crown court case where everyone is watching. Not in your shitty magistrates court where you are what they say you are, unless youve paid lots of money to a known lawyer.

I have no faith whatsoever in the British legal system.

Mr H has cetainly gone up in my estimation.....expect more of this sort of thing in the coming weeks.

You can also expect gates to fall away as more people get pissed off with the bunker mentality of the Board.

So, the same Mr Hayward whose part of a group of fans who GAVE money to the club to buy Michael Proctor and Andy Lonergan is refused entry by a steward, twice, for owning a camera and having a joke, and then when a club employee comes down from the offices, says he has no authority to sort it out.

Bullshit Lambert - pathetic.

Does that mean that everyone with a camera in their mobile phone will be refused entry unless they leave them in a bucket to be collected later?

The thing is, you were actually doing something that the stewards warranted as being 'offensive behaviour', Alan just made a joke.

Our stewards are complete and utter knobheads. Especially the one in the Arkells yesterday that told us to 'fucking sit down'.
