So Mike has met community groups - I am sorry mike, I take it all back - 2 groups in the space of however long you've been working at the club is admirable.

come on moonie, be fair, i think the most piercing point you made was that he didnt speak to the community. whereas he obviously does. well, he opens the letters and emails, but probably doesnt read them, or respond!

What’s expected tomorrow then? Plans at an ‘advanced’ stage, Chippenham just a consideration, board committed to development on the CG site, working with council and residents in the forthcoming weeks. Certainly worth re-iterating from the council minutes... http://ww2.swindon.gov.uk/moderngov/Published/C00000285/M00002496/$$MDocPackPublic.pdf Questioner Mr. Tony Norris. Question: Can the Cabinet Member for Resources confirm how much the Council are owed under the terms of Swindon Town Football Club's Company Voluntary Arrangement (CVA)? Has, as is widely rumoured, there been any approach to Council to renegotiate the final payment of that sum due this summer?
Response The Chair thanked Mr. Norris for his questions and asked Councillor Nick Martin, Cabinet Member for Resources, to respond. Councillor Martin advised that he had provided Mr. Norris with the following written answer. Swindon Town’s creditors accepted a Company Voluntary Arrangement (CVA) on 24 May 2002. The debts owed to the Council at that date and included in the CVA amounted to £415,609.52. (The total debt in the CVA is £5.7m.) A CVA is similar to liquidation, as debts included cannot be chased for payment.
Under the terms of the CVA, annual contributions were to be made to the appointed supervisor of the CVA, Andrew Andronikou of Hacker, Young and Partners as follows: £130,000 by 21 June 2002 £100,000 by 30 June each year from 2003 – 2006 £900,000 by 30 June 2007
Proceeds from the contributions go to the Administrators’ fees and secured creditors first (Inland Revenue and Customs and Excise). The Council and unsecured creditors will receive a dividend from the final payment of approximately 24p in the £. The Council’s share will equate to approx £100,000.
The Council understands that the payment due in 2006 is outstanding and that the Administrator will be meeting with Swindon Town Football Club on 8 February 2007 to discuss this. Under the CVA any negotiation around payments is between the Club and Hacker, Young and Partners.
The Council has no knowledge that the Club wish to renegotiate the CVA, although it would not be party to such negotiations in any event.

Gazza you make me laugh with your comment saying that it was all one sided and that everyone who emailed and texted etc were slagging off the board, well that's because the majority of stfc fans are now against the board, the only people left that support the board are the board bum lickers and there's no doubt in my mind that you are one of them, you are so pro board!! you must be a fool to side with them, have you been brainwashed? why go from being on the trust to more or less being against the trust???

Gaz, can you ask your contacts why the impartial BBC are not allowed to broadcast the fans forum. BE fair to them, they just read what was sent to them.
On another note Patrick came across extremely well on the radio. Nicely put Sir. The question was answered on air. It wasn't being broadcast to allow people to share their true feelings etc on the subject. Thanks, only left work at 6:20 so missed that bit somewhere.

And who might these people be who cannot share their true feelings on air. As they haven't asked what the fans want re a broadcast then I assume they only wish to protect themselves. Further more what of the right of the fans who cannot make it because of distance or the ridiculous limit on tickets (or not chums with Lamby).

(its entirely possible I missed that bit though) Is it more w case of that's what the Board told you they would say, but it was never aired.

Interesting post from Peter Rowe on MoS - don't know if it's true, may be worth seeing if it can be confirmed/denied today by somebody.
He suggests that Monday's forum will have no open questions to the floor - all questions will be submitted prior to the board who'll give responses and take no further questions on them.
Personally, I doubt whether thats the case. Not even the board are that dumb.
As for potential new investor - if he can:
*wipe the board clean of those that have lied repeatedly over the last few years and can therefore not be trusted by any Town fan on anything that they say - Holt, Gray, Starnes, Diamandis
*development or no redevelopment, keep us in Swindon
*pay off the CVA on time and do no more to take the mick out of past creditors, especially the Council who we need onside
*have a fans rep on the board
*categorically rule out the possibility of a move to Chippenham or anywhere outside Swindon, and never has it discussed again
*treat fans with the respect they deserve and make this feel like a unified football club again
....then he'll have my support - because thats what we'll get from the Fans Consortium and that is why those that support it do so
Note how this other offer is 'investment' and not a takeover - which means that it'll give us the means perhaps to meet CVA payments, another Wills-friendly director, the continued possibility of Chippenham, continued strained relations with the Council, continued lack of respect for fans and continued protests until the untrustworthy few are removed - it'll merely prolong the horrible state of affairs we've got now.
On to Darlington....come on lads
