Never nice to see anyone retire at that age, always thought he gave his all to the town and wish him well in future career

I thought he was consistantly good in the Play-Off season but didn't build on that and that was that as far as his Swindon career was concerned.
I wonder if he'll join a southern league team like Gurney did.

Same as Bushey Boy really. His effort was not in question even if he wasn't exactly brilliant. Again good luck to him.

Agree DB, never a favourite - shirked the big challenges and one of the most pathetic shots I've ever seen. But fair play to him nobody deserves to retire at that age and I hope he can find something to do in his career, I think he always tried hard although it wasn't always easy to tell.

As others have said worked hard for the cause most of the time but was basically devoid of any talent whatsoever.
He was a league one forest gump, his only talent was running as he sure couldnt pass, tackle, shoot or head the ball.
He was pretty hot though :wanker: :shhh

Fairy Hewlett was at best...crap, even though he scored one of the best goals in the PO season, with his 'shanked' effort against Notts County. Absolute screamer in the top corner.... Andy Gurney sends his best tho'

Andy Gurney sends his best tho' If Hewlett went on to play for someone like Team Bath or Mangotsfield (in the same division as Clevedon Town) I think I'd be tempted to go and watch! FIGHT!

Good luck to him.
Poor footballer but as others have said you can't question his commitment, effort and work rate.
I used to cringe when the ball came to on the edge of the area from free-kicks/corners, I don't know if he had a habit of scoring shitloads in training but Kingy seemed to ask him to lurk with intent in games.

That is because Andy King knows as much about football management as I do about Botswanan tea cosies.
