Walsall scored in the 93rd fucking minute.

Will be a very tough game next week. Rochdale have hammered Dons and almost beaten Walsall in the past 2 weeks.

Fact is: Danny Wilson and Hartlepool did his research today and did exactly what they needed to do.

God PLEASE defend CCP when he comes up for corners!

That Le Fondre they have on loan from Stockport is decent.

No point in knee-jerk criticisms - this is still a very good side.

Next 3 games are crucuial - do we react positively and beat Richdale, Darlington and Barnet or do we roll over against 3 potentially difficult games (Rochdale beat Lincoln today and thrashed MK the other week) -

Ah well,  against a good defence, players like Roberts wont score you many goals.

So it's Roberts' fault we lost? Absolutely nothing to do with the other ten players on the pitch?

Nope,  i just like blaming him  Cheesy

I think the over the top criticism of Roberts is more a reflection of the worry about our strikers in general.  Sturrock should have strengthened in this area in January, and he didn't.  The only plausible reason for him failing to do this is that the current board may be reluctant to spend while the ownership of the club may be (I hope) in the balance.

At least we're winning the rugby.

Paul Sturrock has now managed the same amount of games Wise did. Time flies!

He clearly tried, and failed, to do just that with the bid for Luke Rodgers. He is clearly relatively content with the squad he has right now - FFS they have got us to 2nd in the league (that's not a criticism of your post btw, just a general reaction to all the moaning farts who like to criticise Roberts at any opportunity).

Look at Walsall, they didn't exactly do a great deal of business in the transfer window either. Then look at Peterborough - it speaks volumes IMHO.

Just a general wondering, but who has the best record out of the 2 managers this season?

nope. he's been kak for the last 180 mins i've seen him play, where as when shakes has been on he's looked dangerous...but then withdrawn (today it not even being for tactical reasons..we stayed 442).

Sturrock has won more games. If you count the Brentford pen shoot-out as a loss (some sources cound it as a draw!  :| ) then they've lost the same amount.

I am wondering if the board is still happy selling Monkhouse to Hartepool  :|

although he scored the winning goal, he did little else, and we got some cash for someone who signed on a free a few months earlier, so no regrets.

(yes, i know that's quite a big contribution...)

Yes it, if he had done his job and scored when one on one with the keeper, then it would have been 1-1

Strikers SHOULD score chances like the one he had to day.
