I know its a pointless thing to say, but should Sturrock have insisted on a 'can't play against us' clause in Monky's contract?

I don't think Monkhouse's ability has done us over today - it's sods law (annoying) - I didn't care that the clause hadn't been put in but we've caught Hartlepool on great form - it's about scoring goals and we are not looking good today.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think that is Sturrock's call. Ultimately, doesn't Mike D negotiate all contract dealings, in and out?

Surely due to the unofficial rules of football, we should be all over them at the moment?

We're not losing just because Monkhouse's transfer didn't include a clause, to suggest such a thing is absolutely ridiculous.
