Sturrock just said 2 are in the pipeline,  one permanent and one on loan.

One player is nearly a done deal, whilst the other is touch and go.

All will be revealed tomorrow i guess Cheesy

And he's simply going on what the Football League paper said.

Surely it must be the permanent signing that is close because how can a loan signing be touch and go - because cant football league clubs still loan people outside the window?

that or he means its touch and go whether the permanent signing wants to come or not?

Signings, I'll believe it when I've see it! Here's hoping we can add something new to the team for the Hartlepool match.

Sturrock said yesterday that he doesn't want to upset the balance and morale of the team by brining in loads of new players.  The team in unbeaten in 2007, and he says it would be unfair to bring new players in who will then automatically be a first team starter.  So im guessing for the near future, our starting 11 will remain the same (baring suspension and injuries).

I think he's looking at squad back-up.  It seems his main first team targets have been hard to come by, and he'll target the areas where we are really short (the right flank?), giving us cover for the thick end of the season.  Hopefully promotion will come nonetheless and it'll allow him to find players in the summer when we have significant squad turnover, and if we're in a higher league we'll be able to be a more attractive proposition (you never know we might even have a certain wealthy chap at the helm by then?).  Even if we make an signing or two I'm not expecting anyone that exactly sets the pulse racing!

he's said he wants two players for each position so i wouldn't be surprised in whoever he signs.unless it was a left sided player
