...set to make his 100th league appearance for the Town tonight.
Strange to think that he's our most 'senior' player in that respect unless you include Ifil's sporadic loan appearances.
His form has been much improved and he's starting to look like the player most of us thought he would be back in 03/04 - if only King hadn't messed him around and had he not fallen out of favour it'd be a different story entirely.
And he's better than Vincent.

I'm a little undecided. Definately getting better and is a left back and not a centre back. I've still got that dread brentford game in the back of my mind where he let the ball bounce straight over him and they scored, but on the whole defiantely getting better.

I like Nico - Always have. He's never going to be the best player in the Starting XI but he does put plenty of effort in and he will get better under Sturrock.
Vincent is decent and experienced but he hasn't got many more seasons ahead yet Nico has many. It'll be good if Nico gets a contract extension.

surprising its only 100 appearances ... didnt have a great game Saturday but I generally prefer Nicho to Vincent .. i think both good left backs tho in their own style .. Nicho is excellent centre back cover as well tho

I'm pretty sure Nico has already passed the 100 league mark already this season though :?

Agree Arriba, getting more dependable, and like Ifil with more experience he's cutting out the silly mistakes which blighted him for a year or so. That long throw is still a potentially potent weapon too.

He is better than i thought he would be based on peoples opinions over the last few years.Much better option going forward as he actually goes past his man (great run and cross for peacocks header saturday).Only downside imo is his control he seems to take that little bit longer bringing it under but all in all good enough player imo

it's Nicho all the way for me. Vincent is solid at the back but he offers nothing going forward. As a fan there's nothing better than a winger going off on a run and being overlapped by the full backs, thats good to watch that is!

as the team is pushing for honours and attacking teams nicho should get preference over vincent imo.he is the better attacking option with long throws and bombing runs down the flank.also he is stronger in the air than vincent. defensively vincent edges it just, but at the moment i dont think that really matters as we should be taking the game to the opposition.but both are valuable squad members in fairness

Big fan of Nicho - will always work hard even when those around him might not be. Think him and Vincent offer very different things - but aren't far off each other ability-wise.
Nicho more often try and beat his man and get a cross in,. Vincent more likely to hang back, wait for a lay-off and cross from deep.
Whenb you have someone thats defensively competent like Zaaboub in front, Nicho's your best bet.

Vincent looks scared to cross the halfway line and on the rare occasions that he does venture into nosebleed territory he looks absolutely baffled.
I like to see full-backs attack and overlap with the winger ahead of them as john says.
