It's clear what the majority of fans on the internet forums want, but I wonder the proportions of non-forum folk are in favour of the consortium?

thats why the voting thing is a waste of time because its not accurate

Non-forum folk, whilst biologically real people, don't have souls. Hence some serious non countage of opinions. This makes the adver poll mega important.

Short of commandeering MORI or similar polling company what more can be done to gague opinion.  The media offer a 'neutral' platform, anything from the club would be either seen as somehow suspicious, and could you see them publishing stats showing even a significant minority who didn't back them?  Using the adver as a platform fo a vote is one way, but with such large numbers of our fan base coming from outside the local area that leaves large gaps in another demographic group, and I for one wouldn't phone a premium rate number to tell a load of idiots I didn't like them running my football club.  The internet is open to all sections, and from my perspective short of asking a significant number of people on matchday you can't canvas the opinion of such numbers any other way, even then to get 10% of the main fanbase would be a decent achievement.

I wasn't suggesting additional polls, but was just wondering really.

Just going back to what was said in another thread the other day about people outside the forums not knowing that much.

When this thread was posted 115 votes had been cast, 8 hours later there's been 420 votes and the % in favour of the Consortium hasn't gone more than 1% either way of 87% in favour.

There's a point to this post, but it escapes me right now. Sussex will get back to you Cheesy

Well there is an argument that supporters who are Internet enabled and post on forums are better informed and more up to date than those who aren't.

I think so anyway.

631 - 90% yes, 5 % unsure and 5% no.

The club need that Iraqi general to release their next statement, "the vast majority of fans back us.  There are no people in the ground wearing orange, Bill Power has not spoke to us for years, in fact we don't even know who Bill Power is, we have millions in the bank...."

You can't, well I can't. it lets you click, and displays the poll, but the number doesn't change.

Cue Ben, or Sam or some other photshop genius for this picture.  Maybe we could produce some playing cards like were available for the iraqi most wanted.  Problem is too many Jokers.  I always saw bob holt as the minister of information TBH.

You should get a copy of the Vintage Red fanzine...there are plenty of pictures of Smarnes as the Iraqi Information officer.
