Can he speak/understand English? He's had an enterpreter for every interview i've seen and i just wondered whether he'd know what the hell Ronnie was saying to him at the mid-session interval....

I left the pub after the interval (9-3 Ronnie), Ding didn't seem to realise he hadn't lost yet. Ronnie put his arm round him and had a little chat. I presume ronnie won. I went on a wander.

Tis a shame it'll be overshadowed by Ding's 'moment'.  Do you think he was better than his second world title, that year he took Hendry amongst others apart with some superb snooker over the whole two weeks and IIRC never looked like anything other than certain to win it.

I think it was better.I dont think people will realise what a special player ding is until another 5 years .It will put that performance in perspective,The breaks he made last night battered ding and thats why he was emotional

It was good to see ronnie put his arm around ding that could be a turning point for him

Yeah if theres anyone in the game that has an idea what it's like it's ronnie, I know he doesn't have the cultural issues, but the pressure and adversity side of things Ronnie's been through pretty much everything before.

To be honest, ronnie shouldnt have even been there after walking out at his last final.
still a v.good display of snooker.

Apparently Ding thought it was a best of 17 frames final, not 19.

So at 9-3 down he thought it was game over.

I felt a bit sorry for him, but he's one for the future definately - just a shame he came up against Ronnie on a night when Ronnie wasn't going nuts and he was playing really well.

We await the two meeting again for Round 2 - Ding, Ding

(I'll get me coat)  Cheesy
