Does anyone know where i would stand on this? Me and my mrs are looking at getting sky digital for our flat. We live in a small block of 8. However according to the residents commitee that live  down here we are not allowed to get it because of the dish being on the side of our flat, trouble is we own our flat and the rest of the cunts rent theirs   They reckon that we are not allowed to attatch anything to the outside of the wall but the rest of the old cunts have got fucking hanging baskets hanging on their walls so what the difference? Anyone have any ideas what to do? Shall we just order and fuck the lot of em?

Cheers any help would be appreciated

I rented a flat a few years ago but couldn't get Sky because all the residents would have had to agree to it aswell, all sign up to Sky, and get one big dish on the roof that serves everyone.

Maybe the same sort of situation you're in?

It pains me to give any sort of advice to a copper

Village - Cant get ntl they dont do it in my area.

Sussex- Yeah its a similar situation, but looking on the sky website they do a new shared dish were u need to get 4 ppl to sign up to sky. It fucking irritates me due to the fact the we own our flat. We even have loft space and i thought about sticking a velux in and putting the dish through that, but sky wouldnt do it cos its supposed to be outside. Anyway my pals in CID have some serious information on you!  Wink

firstly tans you have finallt admitted it, I knew it.

secondly you need to check the lease on the deeds you would have been given when you puchased it, do not order sky prior to thsi as you will be stuck in the contract for 12 months and should there be a clause you could incur financial penalties.

If the others rent it ask for a meeting with the landlords and get the clause changed

Tans, it's possible to get Sky dishes that are much smaller than 45cm ... I seem to remember there's one that looks like a small white pack of Pringles so you could get one of these, hide it by a window or something, and your problem is solved.

The downside it you'll have to get the whole thing independently installed which could cost you quite a few hundred quid.

Couldn't you slap the dish on the side of the flat and cover it in flowers so it looked like one of their hanging baskets?  Cheesy

You shouldn't be paying for sky anyway, at least not the sports. It's one of the main reasons for the massive financial gap between the premiership and the rest of the league. If you want to be a part of that then you've got super-bad-aids.
