Is on BBC 4 tonight at 22.00.

Really good gangster epic, worth recording as it goes on for 3 and a half hours!

Quality film.

Quality fim! Although IMHO Godfather 2 was slightly better, as it chronicled the Brando characters arrival in America and his reason for entering the underworld.

Deniro's portrayl as the young Corleone is one of his best performances.

James Caan, in Godfather 1, is very good, as is Pacino and Brando.

I always preferred Godfather Pt II but after watching them both again I enjoyed the first installment more.

I can actually tolerate the Godfather pt III  Oops

Oops Neither have I (seen Godfather) and I'm not quite sure how but I did get the DVD boxed set of all of them for Christmas. Sadly the chances of me getting the time to time to watch any of them before next Christmas is roughly on  a par with Chalrton staying up. I await a stern and well deserved telling off on my life priorities from Lumps  Cheesy

If you're going to watch The Godfather I would make sure you get all three. The second is certainly the best and the third the worst, but I tend to view the whole lot as a trilogy.

I haven't seen Scarface yet though, think I might record it with the freeview thing I have and watch MOTD though

Meh, that didn't make sense. I meant I view the films as a collective, not three individual films.
