Good news .. he has come on leaps and bounds since Brez got injured .. Ive noticed that he combated his weakness on taking crosses (which was a real worry) by mastering the art of the punch ... considering we havent a goalie coach maybe this was self taught - I dont recall him doing this when Beasley was here ... so well done to Smithy .. fully deserved and hes proved me wrong

Fair play to the guy... He was desperate for a professional career and for once a player has truely earned it.

Anyone know if Brezovan has returned to the club after he went home for Xmas? Not been to any games so haven't seen him around.

fully deserves it.

He's been awesone.

As for the crosses, he can come out and claim them and has done in the past, but as I'm sure we've all noticed the winds been very stong the last few games. So in his defence its better to punch than try and catch a ball that could easily blow all over the place.

Once we get to spring/summer he'll claim them all

First thing I thought was where does this leave Brez, I haven't heard anything since Sturrocks christmas comments.

also he has been throwing the ball to the full backs more then kicking up field while the winds have been pretty bad.

Top bloke!

He really endeared himself to the fans with his full time celebration against torquay.

Phil Smith deserves it. Brez is a great keeper too mind.

I can't think why we wouldn't sign Brez even if it was to sadly later sell him.

I think Brez will sign. It'l lbe good to have decent competition for goalkeeping positions for a change.

That was amazing!

I just remember him at Accrington Stanley standing alone looking totally dejected... He's come a long way since then.

Phil Smith really is living the dream.  He really exudes the fact that he's doing the dream job and the fans have warmed to him.  The last second save (maybe Shrewsbury or Torquay) was fantastic.  The guy deserves all he gets from his career.  I just can't believe he didn't play sustained pro footy earlier.
