I am concerned that the current lot of incumbent directors are not playing ball with the consortiums efforts to take control of our club. I wonder whether St.Modwen are having any influence over things.
They have a vested interest after all.
Is this whole debate about a football clubs need to re-develop to survive, or a st.modwen property development money making scam. Ive had a look at the north wilts councils blueprint for new development . and i cant see where they could put a stadium.

I posted my home addy last night so that if anyone wants to challenge me in a court of law, they can do so! I cant find the post so im thinking it might have been removed.

Like I said in another thread Millom, if the club want to sell they should stop playing games and sit down and get to the nitty gritty of negotiations. If they do not want to sell they should declare that they do not want to sell and are not open to offers.

Thanks for protecting my ass(and this forum's) Sonic......it is apppreciated.
However, i still want St.Modwen to come out publicly and state their intensions with regard to any possible re-development of the county ground.

Who are they talking to. Have they made any headway yet?

To me, they sit in the background and seem to have been overlooked when it comes to apportioning blame in this whole sorry debacle. Are they run by a board of shady mike's?
Ask the people of Longbridge(rover) what they are like to deal with. Promised the earth when they bought the plant and so far, have delivered fuck all. That makes me  feel a tad worried.

The one thing we can be sure of, is that as one of the largest commercial property developers in the UK they'll have a fairly strong hand when it comes to making sure they make maximum profit - they'll be no sentimentality involved and I would assume (can't be certain) that should the board want to stay in Swindon rather than move to an external site, they'll have to show that the site be as profitable as elsewhere for St Modwen to agree.

At the time it'd be difficult to argue it wasn't worth taking the debenture - it was that or bust, but it isn't half a worry now

Not quite.  The Board wanted the debenture taken by someone else because they didn't like the guys who held it.  The risk was leaving it and at a later date them demanding settlement, but it was by no means a definite this would ever have happened.

its obvious ST Modwen are only sticking around to move to Junction 17. they won't see the county ground redevelopment as profitable.
