I think you'll find there's three 1985's. (at least)
1985(1) - The one at the start of the first film, Biff is George McFly's boss and trashes the car so Marty can't take Jennifer to the lake.
1985(2) - The Biff rule's the world.
1985(3) - The end 1985 where George is a successful science fiction writer.
