Where'd we get the name Abbott from anyway?
Scores goals for fun in front of 10,000+ probably on more money in a league above us.
Forgive me for belittling our club by why on gods green earth would he ever consider us?

He's only just got properly fit since a hernia he picked up in September so I think it's slightly misleading that he's only played 10 or so games? Scoring at better than 1 in 2 as well this season, he'd never come here. I hope I'm wrong.

Abbott was a name suggested by a Huddersfield fan originally. I'd love to see him here but agree with Dave really, I can't see why he'd come or how we could afford him.

I think Bartek's made a call to Abbott and persuaded him to join us.

Unfortunately ever since he had dose of nut-rot Harris hasn't quite managed to hit the majestic form he managed in 99/00 & 00/01 with Millwall.
That young fella Paul Benson at D&G looks a right handful but I’d be torn about signing someone who could further help the Pox’s wheels falling off.

Perhaps that's the direction we should be looking in though Dazzzmeister. Rather than go for league 1 players with ambitions (or maybe dillusions?)of playing Championship football, perhaps we should be looking at younger hungry players in the Conference who are desperate to show what they can do at league level. Morcambe showed us what players at that level can do, and let's not forget our own Phil Smith who was at Crawley last season, or Fredy 'where's your caravan' Eastwood who we had on trial a couple of years ago? Yet another example is Alex Revell who played for my local non-league side Braintree. He made the jump from Ryman Premier to league 1 with Brighton and is now attracting interest from Ipswich and Coventry. That's where we should be looking IMO.
