Not for me... have no doubt he's imporved but let's face it, he couldn;t have got any worse. I know he didn;t get much in the way of supply but he was crap. Him and Martin Williams. Those were the days...

Radio Swindon said we've agreed a fee with a club for a player... No idea if it's a striker.

maybe not today then!

Swindon Town manager Paul Sturrock has confirmed he is in negotiations with a player about a permanent switch to The County Ground.

Sturrock has confirmed that negotiations are in place to bring an as yet unnamed player to the club, and the manager is hopeful of landing his man.

"We have been in negotiations with a team for a player and we have now agreed a fee. Negotiations will continue, although he won't be joining us in time for Saturday's FA Cup game. There won't be anything more until next week," Sturrock said speaking after training on Thursday.

Sturrock is in talks with a player over a permanent switch to SN1

"I wouldn't want to raise the supporters expectations by naming the player at this stage, so I would prefer to keep it under wraps until it is signed and sealed.

"There is money involved and there are things happening at this football club which by the time next week comes, people will understand. It is a nominal fee but hopefully personal terms wont be a hindrance and that he will be available for the Wrexham game next weekend," finished Sturrock.

I wonder what is meant by that statement, maybe a cash injection from SSW to try and win over the undecided fans
