After every game some cunt is on the radio slagging this guy off. He has been imense at centre half all season. What do these guys want? He's a fucking centre half, he is not going to be all flash, and doing Cruyff turns and step overs. Fair enough he isnt the fastest, but then name me one Centre half thats fast and I will name you 50 that arent! :roll:

are centre two of Ifil and Williams are brilliant. our defence is probably our strongest position too bar set piece defending of course!

True STA, good 1000th post! I think he's the reason we've been solid at the back this season, we might give away silly goals, but very few teams have conceded less, and frankly our shyness in front of goal has largely been covered by our defensive record. The guy is a proper pro, strikes me as the Franco Baresi of the lower leagues, if you watch him he'll always do something to put the attackes off. Perhpas the best new signing we made recently IMHO.

Disagree with Ifil. Think he is a liability. If it wasnt for williams talking him through every game he would be a nightmare. Hardly won a header at all yesterday.

ehhh...the defenders - maybe are ok...but some goals are their fault - they are standing too far from the strikers . However it's not only Swindon problem  |

williams is a great captain,but he is slow and tends to make the odd mistake.ifil has done much better this season and i'm generally happy with them as the cb pairing.ifil clearly flourishes along side adie.
thought they both did ok yesterday. the woefull marking for countys goal has to be shared blame throughout the team.
i think pook is a victim of similar critism and people are waiting for him to make mistakes to have a go.his effort yesterday was superb!

We just need to work on the silly mistakes that lead to us conceding soft goals, but this is STFC after all

our defence has been solid, all you have to is think back to last seasons comedy pairing of O'Hanlon and Ifil to see how much better off we are...

top marks to the defence today again, stood some great pressure
special mention to Peacock who I think ended up playing as a 3rd centre half for the last 10 minutes. Won everything.....

fuckwits :evil: Good Post STA! That tit on the radio after Saturdays game going "Williams is past it now!" errrrrm hold on a second, he's the main reason our defence has been so good this season. Ok so we dropped 2 points against Notts County, let's not start blaming random players. |
