I really done like this bit

As for other clubs wanting to buy Sturrock’s players, it’s a question of wait and see but the manager admits all offers will be ‘listened to’.

So who is off in January then?

Curtis Weston to Leeds it is, and being injured he's probably played his last game for us

Seem to remember PS saying that if anyone were to be sold, it'd be for an over-inflated price. I can't see Wise gambling a, shall we say, six figure fee, on a youngster, who (by Wiseys own admission) didn't exactly set the world alight when he last played in the Championship

But Village - our managers don't do the transfer deals, Mr Diamandis said so himself.

Sounded to me like PS had been given assurances, why else would he come out in support of the board recently?

(Not that i'm saying that what the board say and do always match up)

Yes, Paul Sturrock did say players would only be sold for over-inflated prices

Yet, in the Adver today he clearly states all offers will be 'listened to'

Its a complete contridiction, so one of the above comments must be wrong....and going on recent history I could have an educated guess at which one

Not really, you can't hear over-inflated prices unless you listen to them Cheesy

Anyone remember that Wise would have 'full control'?

Bring back Mr King, he knew a good deal when he saw one  Wink

Be that as it may, would Mike D risk upsetting and potentially losing Sturrock? I feel that alot of the current apathy amongst most supporters, is because results are going well and they don't want to rock the STFC boat by joining a protest in support of the consortium. For this board to lose PS, would probably sway the fence sitters and be a massive nail in the current boards coffin IMHO

Mike D will do what the hell he likes, I'm sure. Sturrock's tied down for a while isn't he?

If we got an offer for any of our players they'll be off.....same as last seasonn with Fallon...to Diamandis, 300K to do something with, was better than staying in L1.

The same will happen this time, if Sturrock doesn't like it he can walk...Diamandis has nothing to lose.

Sturrock can't walk i don't think, doesn't his contract state that we can't sack him for 18 months and he can't leave within 18 months?

i'm sure i read that somewhere, or maybe dreamt it  :|

indeed. i don't think even mickey d would be so foolish as to do that...stranger things have happened though.

i do think it's a shame all of this didn't happen towards the end of last season, it would be so much easier to sway the naive and gullible!
