He wanted to shut old shaw lane farm and sell the land for housing!
Correction. Cllr Nick Martin wanted to close LSF. Rod Bluh was handed a curved ball with that one and dealt with it the best he could.
he shut 2 schools in west swindon against the wishes of the parents!
Correction. Cllr Gary Perkins (backed by the former Leader of the Council Mike Bawden) was responsible for that one. It was all done and dusted by the time Rod Bluh was elected in May last year.
Sold off the council land occupied by at least 2 fish bros garages for peanuts.
Another Nick Martin-ism. And no it wasn't for peanuts - it is illegal to sell at below market rates. The freeholds for them went at auction for a reasonable price. Swindon is asset rich but cashflow poor. The only way they can raise funding for new projects like the town centre redevelopment, new schools etc is to sell existing low-earning assets off and reuse the capital elsewhere.
Has he done owt for our club, or will he want to sell the county ground as well?
You might be pleasantly surprised, Millom if you give him a chance. He was at the Rovers match btw.
And no, I'm not a Rod Bluh apologist, I really believe that the man is doing what he can for our town and is fifty million percent better for that and STFC than Mike "I'm a complete and utter cunt" Bawden ever was.
