If you think that the trust board are the most detructive thing about stfc then this is my advice to you:

join the trust, advise 1000 people who believe your bull to do the same (good luck) get yourself elected as chairman by these people... problem solved...

although you may encounter a few problems:

no one beleives a word you say;

the people who don't wear orange are not doing it in support of you (i'd say in 90% of cases) but through sheer apathy, we had someone come in 6 years ago promising the world, we are now 6 years into your 5 year plan and are in division wank.  And there are people who will only wear the colours of their team, but still don't like you.

the comments that you have made about a shop steward movement are very ill advised.  most of what you have said about this is actually true: the trust have become a sort of union for town fans, all jobs have unions, many professions too; and popular employers embrace the union and work with them. people join the union when they feel the need to do so. in my profession everyone joins the union as they also protect us from melicious accusations, in other jobs the take up is not so high as membership is not so important. Membership to trust stfc gives the fan no benifit at all. So ask yourself why the membership has increased from 200 to nearly 1000. we are making a statement against you.

your treatment of your own staff has been below contempt (I have never been employed by you nor have ever known anyone employed by you so have no axe to grind) but slagging off someone who was a token CE when you were pulling the strings, for an overspend overseen by you as general manager and big nose grey, (is she your mistess?!!!)

I'd be gratefull if you could tell me of a buiseness that you have helped to succeed through the goodness of your heart.

I keep forgetting I have loads of Stella in the garage. But I have to go outside to get to the garage so it seems too much effort.
