its a sort of lose lose situation really, i can see where gazza is coming from, talking about all that is going on in the club. Yes its unexeptable but if the F.A catch hold of the story we could see finds or/and point deductions. On the other hand if we still let diamandis get away with this the club will go under. FACT.

just saying maybe it is a coincidence etc but everytime a big game comes up a new story comes out. The DTI investigation came out weeks ago and as I say I beleive Mike D acknowledged this on his radio interview and maybe it's just me but we all know what the FA does to Swindon Town etc. I understand why people would want to highlight the DTI Investigation etc as it improves their position to oust the current board, however what ramifications (sp) does this have on the pitch. ie points deductions, fines etc? People who know me know I am a neutral in this whole thing now.

but if the investigation turned out nasty stuff then the FA/FL would be told anyway. You can't hide it once it's got to the authorities.

Why? How do we know the investigation centres around his activities at Swindon? Perhaps, considering the ban was in the 90s, it might be another company? He joined Swindon after 2000, presumably when the ban had lapsed ...?

Quite, the investigation may not involve STFC at all, though I am pretty sure he was involved with STFC whilst banned - not that it means he was directing illeagally.
The investigation may show absolutely no wrong doing whatsoever.
But it is still a valid talking point when our general manager is under investigation.

About time too. Cant believe they get away with running the club like they do to be honest.
Its a news story rather than a football story. Its the DTI. They will hit Diamandis personally.
AND ABOUT FUCKING TIME TOO!

He's never been a director here so surely we've done nothing legally wrong?

He's never been a director here so surely we've done nothing legally wrong? It doesn't matter, Tails. If he has been acting in a "management capacity" that influences the running of a business then that is sufficient. Aka "Shadow Director".

I don't see the club falling foul of anything, even if he did act as a "Director" for STFc while banned. I think this is more a personal issue and could impact his own business, it also brings into question his continued involvement with STFC if anything comes of it. In fact, even the investigation itself may be a little close to the wind on the FL's fit an proper person tests for running a club?
