He has questioned the financial clout the trust has.

OK, yes he is plainly trying to give the impression that the Fans' Consortium does not have serious financial backing - I'd give a two-word answer to that: Bill Power.

I just got the impression that he did not take the trust seriously! Things may have changed since the interview.

I doubt they have - and if he didn't take this seriously, he wouldn't have broken cover like this

I think what you say is right Paul!
I dont know too much about Bill Power's financial background but I take it he does have the financial clout then?

Hell, yes. In a way Diamandis can only dream of - this is a bloke who's already put £1.2m into the club remember (that now seems to have gone) and we wouldn't have put out the Q&A we put out last week without being pretty confident we could deliver on it. We've learnt from the mistakes of previous boards coming in declaring they've more "more money than you can shake a stick at", for example

All i want is stability and for me to have a football club to watch! I just await the next stage of this situation!

Here's an interesting web page.

Quote
What is the effect of a disqualification order or disqualification undertaking?

Unless he or she has court permission, the person is disqualified for the period stated in the order or undertaking from:

    * being a director of a company;
    * acting as receiver of a company's property;
    * directly or indirectly being concerned or taking part in the promotion, formation or management of a company; or
    * being a member of or being concerned or taking part in the promotion, formation or management of a limited liability partnership.

He or she is also absolutely disqualified during the disqualification period from acting as an insolvency practitioner.

For more information on the effect of a disqualification order or undertaking, see our publication ‘Company Directors Disqualification Act 1986 and Disqualified Directors - effect of disqualification orders and disqualification undertakings’.

What happens if someone contravenes a disqualification order or disqualification undertaking?

The disqualified person and any person who assists them will be committing a criminal offence and is liable to be prosecuted. He or she may also be held personally liable for all the debts of the company concerned that were incurred after they were involved in any role from which the person was disqualified.

Hmmmm. Who has been the "General Manager" for STFC for the last five years, then? As admitted to the media today? Oh dear oh dear.

Looks pretty damning to me......doubtless we'll be relegated to the  Isthmian league, for  fielding an ineligible director.

who else is in the isthmian league reg? anyone decent? at least we'll definitely be big fish in a small pond.

reading people's responses on the adver forum is bewildering. some people have absolutely no logical grasp of the situation, they either have their heads buried deep in the sand or up the board's arse.

that forum infuriates me, I rarely post on there but some posters focus more on correcting peoples grammar than the issue at hand.

Some prat on there said:

The Orange revolution is misguided and by Saturday's display poorly supported - in fact, the poor organisation involved suggests the Trust are ill-equipped to run our football club. And who are you to think that I haven't done anything? In fact, lo and behold I am. I, with others, are striving to give the Trust some indications on where the message is wrong, that they do not represent all fans and shouldn't give the message that they do. In fact, a Straw Poll of Season Ticket holders would be a fairer representation than a meeting of village idiots. Ok, Ok that was a little too far -

Would help if he did his research first and check that this was an independent effort in support of the consortium. He thinks by belittling the trust, fans consortium etc he is doing something helpful

the difference is that you don't spout off your opinions and try to engage in meaningful debate despite only listening to half the story.

Oh yeah re players as intangible assets:

It is possible to list player contracts as intangible assets as long as they are below market value (IFRS3).

That's you, me and nearly everebody else Macca!

There are a small percent on this forum who know what's happening, because they're involved directly.

Then there's a percentage who post like they're in the know, but really don't.

Then there's confused people, like you and me.

I want this Board out, because of their track record in miss-management, but I'm not taking anything anybody says as gospel.

Too much politics for me....
