Fair Play to Mike Diamandis for coming out and doing an interview. People have asked him to do this for ages and finally has. I haven't heard it yet though.

No bonus to win the play offs Santini?
There's bound to be one. Perhaps the cheaper option then is to drop down the league, get no bonus, get into the play offs in the last match and win promotion that way. Wink

To be fair the bonus scheme covers both automatic and play off places (but you earn more if you are in automatic place). The big difference between the current scheme and the one in place last year is that the players were bonused down to 12th place in the division. This year the players agreed to only be bonused if we were in the automatic or play off places after a win or draw, which should help them to be self funding. The amount of bonus is unchanged from last season. You can only change a bonus scheme with the agreement of the players, and it must be finalised during the close season, otherwise it reverts to the scheme in place.

So let me get this straight.

Despite all the noises coming out of the CG about it being this damned bonus scheme that's crippling us, and the implication that it's the legacy of the short period of time that BP and yourself had greater control over the playing side of the operation at the club, the scheme is actually LESS generous than the one in place last season, and the only reason it's costing us more is that we've actually managed to win some games!

Good God! I really had thought I could no longer be suprised by the propaganda that was churned out by the club, but they continue to suprise me!

I have to say, listening to that was the equivalent of listening to some one drag their finger nails down a blackboard for 45 minutes :?

I don't think any of that 45 minutes cleared up anything whatsoever.

How can they claim they've reduced the financial deficit from -£14,000,000 when they can't even provide accounts?

What was this misinterpretation on the Trust's behalf that he alludes to?

Why does this potential new investor not have to undergo the same scrutiny that Bill Power must, despite the fact he's already invested money in the club?

Why did board members sign legal documents indicating he was not running the club when he later describes himself as "manager of the football club".

Diamandis expresses his concerns about Paul/Andy not being businessmen - they're not heading up the Consortium, they're not financially backing it, they won't be running the club. They were happy for Bill Power to takeover before, why not now?

Why is the CVA payment such a problem when it seems as though we've got money floating around? Especially if £100k is only 2% of turnover, £800k is only 16%!

Why does Diamandis draw a salary from the club despite not being involved on a day-to-day basis? If he's "general manager" why is his name not listed anywhere as staff?

What evidence was provided to the club of the fan's consortium's financial backing exactly? Was it a photocopy or what?

Why are they now concerned about Power's lack of money when they've not only already got £1.2m of it but he quite easily gave them it?

The unwillingness to negotiate with the fan's consortium in the same manner as this "new entrepreneur" is frankly offensive towards the fanbase.

It's all such bullshit.
