If there's cash involved - cheerio.

Sorry but we need the money more than an aging player...

I feel it would be promotion suicide.....

Roberts out and Blair Sturrock in.....no thanks.

End of the day Roberts is our top scorer

When is his contract up?

If it's the summer and a team in a higher league are interested in him, he'll go for nothing then, won't he?

I think its the end of the year, but the guy owes us big time...

Many teams would have booted him out last season, I hope he remembers this....

True, but think of O'Hanlon etc.

Players see the opportunity and the money and vroom they're off.

yes, but O'Hanlon was shit and owed us nothing.

Plus he wouldnt even get in the team this year

We didnt keep paying his wages while he was in rehab and unfit for practically a whole season....

I suspect if he goes it will be because Luggy is moving him on, rather than Roberts wanting out.....if we're going to play one up front, then  Roberts is a wide man again, but he doesn't do the defensive stuff.....so Luggy would rather have the Cock or Ricky there.

If he goes he goes. Umpteen seasons of what ifs with roberts. I admire him for admitting he had a drink problem and going to rehab(if all members on here admitted that there wont be many posts as we will all be in rehab). Let him go more money then is released i.e wages and sell on fees etc. The club  can get some one that can bang in more goals in 1 season than roberts has done in his career here.

Roberts will sign a new contract soon.... TRUST ME!  Luggy said he was going to start talking contracts soon... so with that in mind should Roberts not be offered a contract its because he has something else in mind, Cant see him going to Barnsley,no where near championship standard IMO, saying that, Barnsley will be back in League 1 next year so...

This seems news to most Barnsley fans as well.

They can have him if he continues in yesterdays manner, he won't last 5 minutes at that level.
