Meanwhile, Mourinho called for Chelsea to be allowed to field a B team in the lower leagues of the professional game, as Real Madrid do in La Liga.
"I would love to see it. I can tell you for sure that if that happened, players like Lassana Diarra, Mikel John Obi, Salomon Kalou, when they are not selected for the first team, they have a competition to play in a different level. So they should have a look.
"Like in Spain, they would not be allowed promotion. They don't even play in the cup to stop the possibility of Real Madrid A against Real Madrid B." http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/teams/c/chelsea/6220270.stmis this a good or a bad thing? surely they couldn't just wack their b team into, say, league 2? unless it was at the expense of Franchise, what goes around comes around...

Maybe the ryman southern league would do, or out on Hackney marshes. Silly idea, has he never heard of the reserve premier league, something I believe they don't have in Spain.

Nope - No way - there's not enough money to go around at the moment. Doing this would drive some teams out of existence.

Its a stupid idea. It would send teams at the bottom tier out of the league.

Well, i've got mixed reactions. Wouldn't push anyone out of the league, b-teams wouldn't be allowed promotion/relegation, so i assume it would be like they didn't exist in the league at all -all promotions & relegations would be as before. If "big name" players were playing, that would swell gates at lower league clubs, much the same as big friendlies do, creating much needed income. However, if the b-teams are dealing out thrashings week-in week-out, that would have a detrimental effect on players form, leading to possible loss of form in the league. Could also lead to the lower league teams fielding a 2nd side, as the games are essentially meaningless, which takes the point of it all away, as we already have a reserves league. Also, if you want these Premiership players to play lower league football, you have the loan system. I've convinced myself that i'm against it

It's a fucking ridiculous suggestion.
They want to put their Reserve team into the Football League, so if they can then surely all the other Premier League teams will want to do the same. How do you fit extra teams into the league? It makes a mockery of the whole system. Even in Spain Real Madrid don't have a 'B' team as such but are VERY closely tied to Castilla and basically supply all their players. It'd be like Chelsea giving all their reserves to Brentford on a Saturday.
Fucking rubbish. Who is going to make way for them in the Championship? WEho is going to make way for them in Leagues 1 & 2? Who is going to move into the conference to accomodate these teams? Who is going to go out of business?
Fucking Chelsea think they're the dogs bollocks and that EVERYTHING should be changed to suit them.
If you didn't keep buying so many damn players then you wouldn't have the problem of them not bloody playing! Loan them out! Play them in the Reserves League (which they're currently 3rd in the Premier League Southern Secion)!

It's a mockery really.... They really don't give a flying fuck about lower league football because they've never experienced it.
Plus imagine if arrogant, wealthy Europeans of Chelsea or Arsenal getting lumps kicked into them on a cold wet night in Accrington or Scuthorpe! It'll never happen.
