I've put this poll on this is, I'd be interested to see if there is any difference in opinion in results. And I just like polls.

Too many mistakes in the past make it impossible to have faith in the current non-football management of the club.

It's time for a change...

is change really the answer?

after all when everything is taken in to account, the problems at the club aren't the making of this board over the last two or three year's or so, it goes deeper than that.

the club needs money that's the basic problem, will changing a board that is struggling to get to grip with the current financies and put in other board members that will face the same problems, change the club's money problems and direction??

i can understand the frustration and the want to change things...but my other view is nagging me that's it's the right move.

In a word 'yes' changing the board is the way forward there is alot of unexplained stuff with these cowboys, like wheres the Power money gone, the Bryan Adams concert money, the Fallon transfer funds and the increased gates money, I like everyone else know there are likely to be more skeletons in there closet.  Listen to whats being said the consortium have a backer who will take this club  forward, I for one will be much more in favour of Mike Wilks (a man who has a clear love for Swindon Town) and his consortium running this club, I feel we can trust people who care about the club   Cheesy

Yeah I'm not saying either way is change a yes or no. Im just concerned for the future and if the current board have a lot of unexplained issues then maybe their's a reason? but that's something none of us can answer.

But as long as the board at STFC can take the club forward and i know money in football will always be a issue but ''stablise'' the club in what ever form that maybe then i'm all for it.

It's this what if and maybe part that i'm apprehensive about.

The move to appoint Sturrock seems like a positive step on the pitch, so now positive step's off it are needed. It's full backing of the current board to solve issues or try a different new direction.

This board have had 5 years to try and get things right.....they've been awarded plenty of slack, because of the goodwill towards SSW, but recent events have gone too far, and left too many unanswered questions which have allowed a febrile atmosphere to develop.   It would be possible for the Board to claw back some credibilty by acepting a Trust elected member instead of Newbury non entities. but this isn't going to happen for reasons we've yet to discover.

Therefore its time for change.....that it should be a fans led consortium should be a thing of great joy.....originally the club was run for many years along the lines of teh CO-Op namely 1 share one vote.....and democracy should be restored to the clubs running.

The most bizarre of todays utterances from Newbury...is the line that costs could be slashed by reducing the quality and quantity of the playing staff.....but they don't want to do that.

However it was exactly that strategy last season, which helped us achieve our lowest ever finish in a discrete third tier......and yet we're told we still racked up a loss of near on a mill.....despite all the incomes mentioned by a host of posters.

Its frankly inconceivable that any poster with a mind of their own can  see any future for a Newbury run STFC......the end game is upon us....lets try and ensure its not too messy.
