He is indeed correct. It's not the best time to be making this point though, as the story will be drowned amongst all the articles about Andy Robinson stubbornly refusing to fall on his sword... again.
Since the World Cup, England tickets have doubled in price, due to an influx of johnny-come-latelys who just don't get it.
You can now almost guarantee to be sat next to some gang of prats at Twickenham who will no doubt be wearing replica shirts (presumably they don't realise that the wearing of a barbour is de rigueur for a day out at HQ).
They invariably spend the whole game talking rubbish, pondering questions such as "Why isn't Jonny playing" and "Why don't we win any more like we used to (when we didn't used to be interested)?"
I used to go to just about every game but these clowns are ruining a perfectly good day out, and I haven't been since Samoa last year.
Probably the same sort of people who spend their summers going to the cricket wearing 'barmy army' t-shirts...

It's not just at Twickenham though... There was sustained booing during Stirling Mortlock's kicking routine at Murrayfield this weekend. Poor form.

Glory hunters or not 8 defeats in 9 games for one of the supposed world powers of Rugby should equal sacking.

Agree with that, a few years ago, when Rugby fans used to go to rugby games, stadiums were silent during penalty kicks. Now rugby has attracted the masses the crowd's behaviour has worsened. Shame. Boo-ing is crap.

Agreed, ive never liked Rugby even after the WC win but the fans have every right to boo the shambles that is the English Rugby team. Fair weather or not they still fork out a fortune to watch rubbish.

Reminds me of my mate "Glory Steve". Never even mentioned Rugby pre 2003. Then in the summer of 05 he became the no.1 cricket fan in England. Whilst back around 2001 he was following the England footie team as much as he could (although he no longer goes to any matches rugby/football/cricket).
I think he's currently looking for Australian ancestry, he'll have a job as he's from Bromham.

I thought you were Irish?? What RWC bandwagon did you hop on? Presumably the 2007 one. They are looking by far the best NH team at the moment. If they can do the Grand Slam this time, they'll be in very good shape for the WC.
