10.55am, Saturday 25th November 2006

Today's match referee Mr. P W Melin has inspected The County Ground pitch but has requested more time to give the game every chance of going ahead.

Due to the heavy rain overnight The County Ground surface has carried a lot of water but after an initial inspection just before 11am, the referee will now make a secondary inspection in around an hour's time.

some of us aren't going to get there for kick-off

You could leave anyway, and I'll text you if it's called off or not so you don't get all the way there?

The pitch is fine - just spoke to Marcus the inspection should be a formality

If it's called off I'm going to be mighty pissed off. Taking 3 non-town fans today as well

It'll be a shambles if it's called off. I've seen matches played in much worse conditions.

Come on groundsmen, get your rollers out!
