He has a decent cross on him, no question about it. He is also quite tidy on the ball and he looks a decent player dont get me wrong.
I just dont think he has the pace and skill to beat a full back and whip it in....

Shakes only plays week in week out because he is the only 'right winger' we have. Wells is a central midfielder, who has been pushed wide right because there is no one else. |

Obviously i'm not comparing Ben Wells to Beckham, like for like, but Beckham rarely beats a full back, yet can cross well and many of his crosses have resulted in scoring oppotunities. But then again, i don't like Ben Wells at all, so i hope he doesnt play  |

was a bit of devils advocate in there for me....Ben Wells does look to have the physical presence of a small girl, but the least you want is for the kids to get a chance before they begin learning how to lay bricks, mix cement and find their way to Supermarine.

I've love to see the youngsters get a chance, I've often sung the praises of Jutkiewicz and Stroud. I am all for the youngsters getting a chance, in their correct positions and Ben Wells natural position isnt on the right wing |
