A six-figure fee for Ifil?!

Exactly.... seven figures at least  Cool

£10,000.99

To be fair Ifil has improved a lot, but talk of a 6 figure fee is a as fanciful as him being ready for Championship football.

Maybe Sturrock will get Flitcroft in on loan from Bury as short-term cover for Evans.

Let's think: the following replies will be -

No thanks
He's too fucking old
He's crap
He's too old
He's slow
If Bury don't want him, why would we?

Maybe he is all of those things. I don't have first hand knowledge of every frigging player in the league like some people seem to think they have. I just thought I would throw his name in there.

Flitcroft has signed for Hyde United anyway.

I think you'll find the only Ifil going to Leeds is Paul

even though his wages can choke a horse?  which must mean he is paid in 4kg sugar cubes.

Yeah I know, but hopefully we'll be the only (or the best) club in for him and Charlton may see that first team footie is better than nothing and stump up some of the wages

was listening to the post match interview with Paul Sturrock on BBC Swindon and when Roberts was mentioned Sturrock described him as "a bit lazy in the first half but scored 2 good goals."

It's good to know the new manager has figured him out early. Sturrock is definitely the right man to get us promoted. :old:

Gary Lineker hardly worked his socks off for the teams he played for.  if Roberts continues his scoring ratio, and has those moments of inspiration in a game, then a team will carry that sort of player because goals win games.

Spot on Rob, Robbo is only a liability when he's not scoring. At this level providing his heads right he's a good player, more than capable of performing at this level IMHO.  If he's not prolific, which I don't necessarily think he needs to be, he has to work hard, but at the moment he's scoring, he's swaggering and that enough to let him off being lazy for me.  A fit Christian Roberts who worked hard and scored goals frequently would be frankly too good for us.

Judging by Stymes' comments on the official site, they're struggling to get men in.
