ok, but look how many chances peacock missed last week? 8 i think say no more he didnt miss 8. he also didnt miss from a yard out with an open goal he also isnt lazy he also spends most of time doing other peoples jobs To compare the two, is quite frankly shocking. All this sudden hate for Peacock is fucking stupid, we'd be much worse off without him, FACT! i completely agree I second that

Anyone who comes from cambridge and has already been rejected on various other trials is never going to be quality. Be he does put himself about a bit. But thats not enough is it. I'd have the cock anyday. So to speak.

he doesnt score any because he hardly gets any fucking service, so he missed a header or two saturday but how many decent chances does he actually get then?
The problem is, he doesnt spend enough time in the 6 yard box because he is the man who controls the ball brings it down and spreads the play. He does a good job of this, he controls the ball in the final, it stick and we go from there
He was taken off against Shewsbury in the second half and we were shite without him, everything we lumped forward came right back at us as Rhodes and Fola couldnt control it and hold it up
That 20-30 minutes alone showed that we need Lee Peacock in the side, because who else it going to keep hold of it in the final third, no one...
You watch if Peacock doesnt play tomorrow, who will kicked up field and come straight back, he is our outlet.
Its the tired saying, but he adds alot more to the side just goals and without him we wouldnt be as good, if you dont want to believe me and think he is 'shite' and a 'donkey' then be my guest....but I firmly believe you are wrong.
If you cant see what he actually adds to the team, then I dont know what more to say...but if you think he is shite watch him next game and compare what he does to someone like Aaron Brown. Worlds apart.
If our team was decent enough to create chances and get crosses in then Peacock could stay in the 6 yard box and score the goals that he can (his past record backs this up, he is usually good for 15+ a season) of course he cant be the '6 yard finisher' if he is 25 yards from goal keeping hold of the ball because no one else can.
He isnt scoring because we arent using him properly, we arent using him properly because we lump it forward all the time.
Sometimes I think people just want to hate on Peacock because it goes against the grain.

Sturrock wants a target man to do the flicking on, holding up and laying off. The trouble has been that no one has been there to benefit from all this that Peacock does so well. Sturrock expects the other striker and especially running wide men and midfielders to get on the end of these balls. Chances will then come and more will be in the box to take those chances - including Peacock.

Agreed about Peacock, he's been pretty good at what he does when I've seen him. The problem is that teams suss out that Peacock is the target man all too quickly and so compensate by marking him out of the game. By and large he still proves effective even when this happens. The problem is the other striker is trying to do the midfielders' (more often than not the wingers') job too so the flick ons and hold up play is a waste of time.

It's simple.
Peacock + Good, greedy, nippy striker = Good frontline.
Peacock + Roberts, or Fola = Crap frontline.
Shame Caton is injured, I would've liked to see him have a chance upfront.
Don't think Brownlie got enough pace or guile to be good enough for League 1 (Which is what Luggy is looking for).
Haven't seen enough of Lukas to form an opinion on him. He looked quite useful against Shitty last season, but as a partner for Peacock, I don't know...
I'm just gonna trust the big eared one for now. He seems to know exactly what he wants.
