He definately knows how to get out of that League. That'd be a great appointment.

The man will work miracles at Swindon!
Good luck.....

He'll be a fantastic manager!

Was hoping he'd go back to Scotland. We were going to go up there for a weekend and see a game.

Doubt we'll head down south, but I will be watching for Swindon from now on.

Top class manager. Should and hope so that he will work wonders at Swindon. Great appointment for you.

I think he'll get you relegated, Steer well clear.

Waaaay too good for Swindon...

He's got a good record of getting teams out of the lower leagues into this one. He should do a good job for you

Congratulations to the Swindon board for pulling off this this particular coup. He's miles better than Wise and WILL get you promoted - FACT!

He joined us in October 2000 when we were languishing near the bottom of League 2. The next season he took us up as champions with 102 points. We had one season of consolidation in League 1 in 2002/2003 and in 2003/2004 he took us up again as champions.

He quite simply is a genious at turning around lower league lost causes and getting them promoted without spending any money (not that Swindon are a lost cause obviously).

Enjoy!

Just enjoy it, that is all I can say, just enjoy his management while you can, how quickly did his 4 years (just over) go with us? Your in safe hands now, you will be back to a high level of football VERY soon

Now we better bloody bring him in!!

If some bloke in Plymouth reckons Sturrock will definitely get us promoted then that's good enough for me.

By the way, if he is appointed, we're going to have to refer to him as Luggy. That's his nick name. I don't know why, it just is.

"If Paul Sturrock can come to Swindon and do what he managed with Plymouth and take us to the Championship i would welcome him with open arms."

From BBC 606.  That has to be one of the worst quotes I have ever read.  Basically this town fan is saying "If Sturrock gets us up to the championship, then I'd welcome him with open arms".

No shit sherlock.
