Bari Player Murdered

Bari, Italy - A.S. Bari player Giovanni Montani was murdered on Monday by a pair of gunmen, as the 18-year-old was driving his car.

The striker was a member of the Bari Youth League and was shot by two individuals who were riding on motorcycles on either side of his car, according to Gazzetta Dello Sport. After the shots were fired, the car drove into a garden where it stopped. Montani died shortly after.

Rumors surround the young star's death, as he was the grandson of former Mafia boss Andrea Montani. There has been no confirmation if this had any connection with the homicide.

This is very sad to hear. I heard about it on Gazzeta.
