Taken form the People
Paul Sturrock will be installed as the manager of Swindon town tomorrow. however there will be a clause in his contract allowing him to go back to sheffield wendesday if they want him.
Will our board ever learn? We will be back to square one again, any chance of stability?

That's great news, i wouldn't worry about that clause bart, they have just sacked him, very rarely do clubs who have sacked a manager then go and get him back, he loves wednesday but he'll be here for at least 2-3 years i think, i wouldn't get too pissed off with that clause, i'm sure others will agree!!

Andy King? True, but that's our board for you soapy tit wank!!! Usually though how many clubs re-employ managers that they have sacked? it's very rare, the board should have put in his contract that he could only go there after being here for 1-2 years first. But i'm not going to worry about that too much, the right man has got the job and he will stay here for quite a while, hopefully he will get us into the championship before he goes!!

Interesting......the evidence continues to mount.
There are going to be a lot of unhappy people if this isn't confirmed tomorrow...
It would be probably the first ever sensible decision this board has ever made.

I would be very happy with that appointment. In fairness, he did say he would insist on that clause whoever he went to.
If appointed, Sturrock will get us promoted - FACT!

The fact is tho there is a power struggle at Wednesday, if they did change ownership there is a chance that they would want him back
Very happy with the appointment if it happens- but we could do without this hanging over us

From that League paperathingamibob..
Paul Sturrock will walk into Dennis Wise's shoes at Swindon Town tomorrow- with the management team who helped him lift Plymouth Argyle to two promotions.
Sturrock, 50, is back in management just over a fortnight after being controversially sacked by Sheffield Wednesday, who also parted company with coaches Kevin Summerfield and John Blackly.
Now the axed trio will target a Wiltshire repeat of the West country wonder that saw Plymouth transported into the championship.
Sturrock, who watched Swindon's home game with Hereford yesterday, has been cleared to take charge of the league two high-flyers by a rapid agreement on compensation with Wednesday of around £200,000.
His Swindon contract will contain a clause that he can leave without compensation should Wednesday , where he was immensely popular with fans ever want him back. Town will agree knowing that such an event is extremely unlikely.
Sturrock said " Swindon are a great club with great support. I've been reading some of their messageboards and was very impressed with one lad by the name of Spacey, he is very intelligent, witty and highly fashionable. It was his greatness that convinced me to make the move."
There's more but I can't be arsed to type it out.
