I think you should distrabute them from the m iddle of the magic roundabout

That would actually be an ace PR stunt.

You should sign people up late night though. They'll be too drunk to realise what they're signing up to.

Utter utter utter utter fuckwits.

Presumably rank has been pulled. Noone is stupid enough to lift the ban without reading the leaflet before doing so. Although a more minor than an overspend point it clearly demonstrtes the lack of communiction at our club.

Thanks to everyone who helped out or signed up today - we signed up over 150 new members today and distrubuted several thousand leaflets, despite (or maybe because of) the ban. So thanks to you all - if Mr Starnes et al think they can silence the fans with these kind of silly tricks, it really doesn't seem to be working very well, does it?

Absoloutly

interseting point though was that the club let in a group of Churchfield students who play for a football team that trains on the County Ground Extension who are opposed to any historic redevelopment plans as it would mean that they lost their training facility.

They were canvassing opinions the the Winners before the game with video camera's the works !

Needless to say Mr D bought them some sweets and did a very nice interview with them.

And we are not allowed to hand out leaflets with defamatory remarks !?!?!?!

SHAMBLES............................ABSOLOUTE FUCKING SHAMBLES !

We think they were basing their assumptions on the old proposals mate

We stated that far from excluding the community the new plans would enhance the exsisting facilities and that we were equally keen to promote grass roots sport to find another Micheal Pook etc

but the old proposals were the ones the club put together themselves, which lost the extension to houses.

The other plans have always had astro turf training pitches included?!?

Exactly !!!!!!!

My main point was DV the sheer hypocrysy (sp?) of letting them in to spout negativity about redevelopment plans and banning us !

so...the club put together some crap proposals that get rid of the cricket pitch and extension for houses.

Then the trust and co put together plans that have extra training pitches etc...

Then the club bring in some kids, to get some sort of proof that the re-development needs to include training facilites, despite the fact it was THEIR plans that got rid of it, not OUR plans

have I got this right, because that seems fucking stupid even for our board!?

In part DV

I just think it was the school/club reading too much into the original proposals mate

Like I said, what galls me was the fact they were allowed to carry this video interview in on in the Winners !!

Erm I don't think you mean defamatory - there's certainly nothing defamatory in there! In fact there's barely any mild criticism which makes the Stasi-style ban seem all the more bizarre.

To be fair, I think the kids were just going on the basis of what's been published (ie the club's old proposals) which would have got rid of the green space and it was a project with the Study Centre to find out more. The Study Centre do some great work and more power to their elbow. The contrast was a bit odd, though.
