Bob Holt wanted The Adver to say something like "We're really really sorry. We did not mean to suggest that The Board are not trustworthy"

Instead, they have effectively thanked Bob Holt for clarifying the fact, just in case there was any doubt, that the Board are not trustworthy.

Maybe they just missed out a line or something but I prefer to think it was intentional.

I haven't seen the printed version, only the website version. There isn't a headline or something in there which makes it clear that they are meaning to apolagise is there?
