....actually been pleased with the whole performance.
Now I know we've won a lot, but under Dennis the football wasn't exactly sparkling. The crowd kept the team going for the first month or so.
I'd say the Grimbsy and Brentford (and perhaps Barnet) matches were good performances, the others?? Not so sure.

I agree. Our football was effecient under cunt face not sparkling most of the time.
Not that I was all that fussed tbh, after last season I wanted success at all costs this season.

Chester away was a good battling performance.

Chester away was a good battling performance. Yeah but that kind of makes my point, a "good battling performance". I'd say the Brentford and Grimsby matches were good professional performances, where we looked better than the opposition. From what i heard on the radio we did not play that well against Chester, but we did get the result.

I missed Grimsby but I can't actually think of an excellent performance.

I thought we were terrific against Brentford. Slow start but we played some great football, especially second half and extra time.

But in League two we're always going to be battling. Its a hard league. At the end of the day its the points that matter.

I realise that too, but I think if you ask a Lincoln fan about their performances they'd probably have a few games, where they can say we outclassed them. We cannot, all of our matches bar a few have been quite even and on another day resulted in some other outcome.
I am not expecting sexy football, but would have expected a few games where we walked away thinking, we fucking did them today.

Brentford, after the first 20 minutes - so even then there's not a full performance to be pleased with (although counting extra time & penalties that equates just over one full match). Grimsby wasn't too bad either.
But two games from 17 doesn't make good reading.

I think we played really well at Wycombe (league). Man for man they were probably the better team, but we stuck at it, took a chance and should have gone on to score a couple more. Then that cunt ruined it, but never mind.
But Grimsby, obviously. First time all season weve hit top gear and applied pressure throughout the game.
