It's funny how when you read you learn things, don't you think?

Not the same as first hand experience, but if you can learn to evaluate information and you check a variety of sources, you normally get a pretty good grasp of things.

Like with all other things in Israel, Maccabi are the Right-wing Likud followers and Hapoel are Left-wing Labour.  Its always Left -v- Right unless an Arab team is playing.

When I worked our there, Betar Jerusalem (another Right-wing Jewish club) and Bnei Sakhnin (Arab club) had a few tasty meetings with fights and riot police called
