Ouch!. The Swindon vs Reading game is known as the M4 Derby. Apparantly you don't hate us, so it isn;t really a derby. Boca River is actually pretty bad, have heard of people being shot to death on matchdays and guns in the ground, etc Its very gang orientated. Idimmagine gala vs besiktas is pretyt violent aswell.

Think you'd have to go some to beat some of the rivalries in the old Yugoslavia, given that Dinamo Zagreb claim to have sparked the Croat-Serb part of the Balkan Civil Wars of the 90s at a home game against Red Star Belgrade. And, iirc, weren't Arkan's Tigers originally Red Star's firm? That makes Celtic-Rangers look pretty tame in comparison.

Red Star's lot were involved in the overthrow of Milosevic(not Savo), so must have some sort of political element attached to them. Celtic-Rangers games these days aren't anything like they used to be, still the level of violence around Glasgow on Auld Firm days is ridiculous. I saw three fights in about five minutes one night I was up there, and there are stabbings and attacks all over the estates as well. Nothing is likely to beat the sheer lunacy of Boca-River though. Loco SA.

Maccabi Haifa v Hapoel Haifa can be a nasty one with Maccabi Haifa fans singing about Gas chambers and the Holocaust. And thats just to get warmed up.
Read 442 for good derby games stories.

Is Maccabi an Arab club then? I'd always thought of all teams being Jewish for some reason.
Bare in mind that teams have been singing songs about the holocaust and making hissing noises to Spurs and Ajax for years. Probably doesn't have the same effect as singing it to an Israeli team though.

They are From Israel. I think Amir knows they are from Israel! The point he is making is that you would expect Israeli teams to be Jewish but if the Maccabi fans are singing songs about the gas chambers they are they are not clearly Jewish are they? I think you should get your coat :?
