I started a game as liverpool...i know but they have a huge budget, not doing too bad, in my 3rd season, came in top 4 both of those.....no major silverwear yet but it will come
made a lot of changes in the first season
got rid of: bellamy, alonso, agger, sissoko to name a few
brought: sergio aguero (amazing argie striker, only 18 cost me 16mill, scorred 36 in the first season and now valued at 27mil)
freddy adu (always buy him for futer use)

Adriano
Also got a 14yr old fin called lauri dalla valle, i reccoment everyone buys him at the start of the same, he's free with a £95,000 compensation) he's 17 in my game now and his stats are flying up.
I'll prob sell gerrard soon purley for the cash i'll get.
My squad now looks like this
GK- Reina (Boruc)
DEF- Adriano/Carager/Vanden Borre/Alves (Bale/Barry/Alex/Finnan)
Mid- Gonzalez/Mascherano/Gerrard/Penant (Adu/AVB/(drawn blank)

I started a Season with AS Roma. Near the end of my 1st season, 4th in the league with 5 games to go 7 points behind the leader inter. Final of the Coppa Italia where i will Play Lazio, Semi final of the champs league where i play Man U. I beat chelsea in the QF 5-2 Agg. Bought Vucinic, Pizarro and Cassetti out of co-ownership and bought Christian Wilhelmsson. I bought those players out of the funds i earned by Selling Amantino Mancini for 25m to Inter. He wanted a fresh challenge. Signed a new 2 year contract, also in talks with Wesley Sneidjer

the MLS is odd, as it takes its draft system from the NFL/NBA setup, where all the youngsters are put into a 'combine', they play a quite a few matches against each other so you get a chance to see who's worth a shot, then the teams pick players in turn, in the order of the worst team the previous season to the champions. iirc the first draft is 4 rounds, then your get another chance a few weeks later? its odd, but it kinda works well. very american though!

I'm guessing they have a standard wage for these youngsters too? Is this the same for FM? Are there any good American youngsters on there to be picked up in the drafts? |
