Has any player from the basement league been sold for a million?
Can't think of one at all, seems ludicrous money or maybe just a pub stunt from the new owner? John Stead?

They are also very much in the hunt for Leon Knight.
I'm sure his ego won't allow him to play in League 2.

he seems more of a football man. wants to a Reading or a Wigan so he'll be in it for the long run unless things really do go tits up. its a shame Big Ron went and we may have missed out. but we can't live on "what ifs?" all the time can we?

McLean is quality, saw him scored against us earlier in the season when we drew 1-1 at home and I'd have been over the moon if we'd got him. The only player apart from Christian Roberts (playing for Exeter) I've seen get a standing ovation from our home fans based on their performance. So he'll probably be shit too.
Very pacy, strong, good finish and a pretty decent all-round footballer. How much did they pay for him? must've been a few hundred k

Its a undisclosed 6 figure sum, and he scored yesterday in his debut game, - a 1-0 win against Swansea
