 Mind you if McLeod (of the McLeod clan) is that good why would he have make a sideways move? Bit of a strange bid that..

So could we.

But sadly not with the current regime in charge- it just will not happen.

At least Fry stood aside and admitted he had no money left to put in- wonder if the same thing would happen here? I am not so sure

As i said Arriba lets hear the other side of the story. People on here are taking what the board have said as gospel.

I still say this is a closed shop- if the ground development happens watch Dunwoody disappear shortly afterwards.....

Good site that Football365.  John Nicholson's column this week makes an interesting read.

As for the posh, I didn't know that either, £1m on a 4th division player?  Crazy.

Her is not worth £1m!!!.....if I were a posh fan (thank god i'm not) i'd be pretty concerned that the boss was ok with splashing that kind of money on a league 2 striker.....and over 3 years!.....I mean he may make it in League 1 but he is not championship status, and in my mind paying that much for a striker in league 2 should guarantee his quality through the league's not just whilst at the bottom......
Had they offered £1m for a championship and top form League 1 side then maybe it'd make sense to me but not him.............
If they have that much money to slop around then can they please come and buy Jon Stewart for £1m so we can wrap up the Brezovan deal and get a striker in come January!!

As much so as you're taking the rumour that Bill Power left because he's pissed with Diamandis?

Note the word rumour.

What if it's all a cunning ploy to get out though?

As someone has said before, it smacks of an exit strategy - think about it, we're actually a very attractive opportunity to investors  really.

We have a board who slagg of it's fans, we already have a high profile coaching setup, we're doing well in the league etc.

The Wills have been involved for years and put in more money than I could shake a stick at - regardless of the fact they've never really ploughed cash in to push us forward they have kept us going.

Now what if they realise now that they've just had enough?  An easy way to get out is to anger the fans in such a public manner, making potential investors completely aware of what is going on.

Any potential investor will be looking at this and thinking to themselves that they haven't got to try and attract a decent manager - we have that.  Anyone new coming in as owner would hardly have to do anything really from our point of view - it's a change that seems most important to the fans.  If a new chap can get the council onside (less Diamandis et al) then we could possibly sort out a new stadium.

What I'm trying to say is that you have no idea of the board's intentions, you just like to think that the way see things is exactly the way things are happening and like to insinuate you know more  than you do.

Maybe things will turn out like you say and we'll be out of business next week or whenever, but do you really think it's in the board's interest to let that happen?  They're all owed money by the club, and they've all got working futures once they leave (if they do), they're hardly going to want to have a dead club hanging around on their cvs.  Also I wouldn't bet against fans targeting them if we do die - and they sure as hell don't want to be victims of vandalism or other hate crimes do they?

I'm not defending any of them here by the way, it's all been very unprofessional of late, but if we get new ownership out of it and start to move forward wont it all have been for the best?

Has any player from the basement league been sold for a million?

Can't think of one at all, seems ludicrous money or maybe just a pub stunt from the new owner?
