Thorpe and Cureton as a pair was blatantly never going to work. He scored more than Curo in his first 6 months too...

Did anyone else prefer Thorpe to Cureton. I dunno why really, but I did. I think Thorpe tried more, but just didn't have it - a la first minute at Barnsley - whereas Cureton never really looked interested.

In my humble opinion, I'd rather have 11 donkeys on the pitch that were so proud to wear the Swindon shirt, than 11 players who couldn't give a rat's ass. I wouldn't care if we got beat each week, but to see some passion and fight from players who are proud to wear the Swindon shirt upon their backs would, nowadays, be an achievement.

Thorpe was a complete bellend.....all you had to do to was watch some of the early training sessions up at Wanborough to see the fella was trouble....probably King's worst signing. Reg, you go to watch training? do many people?!! |
