sounds as though ince's brief time at swindon could come to an end, judging by wise's comments after the game yesterday.

they were due to sit down and have a chat last week, more will be decided this week. reading between the lines, i think the club are looking to get rid of him to cut some of this overspend.

don't think it'd be a great loss myself, provided wise starts to consider himself as a player. if evans is injured - and his injury record is less than comforting - then wise would need to step into the breach.

Wouldn't be too big a loss really, he hasn't exactly brought anything to the team yet.

Plus we'd be saving £5k a week, thats £240k a year. Assuming we don't have to pay him off.

maybe we can get linda back instead? she's gotta be as mobile

(i'm joking obviously, i know the money for ince has come from somewhere else and what he earns in a month would maybe be as much as linda would have been on)

And all those people who thought it was a good thing-an unnecessary distraction was and is my opinion of the "Ince debacle"

5k a week  Soapy Tit Wank

Ince is on 2k a week....FACT!

Complete and utter waste of time, effort and money so far and all he has done is had a negative effect on this football club and his arrival could potentially be what caused our board to have a bust up

Bit of a balls up from start to finish really.

Phil King mentioned on the old wireless yesterday he believes the ‘Guvnor’ will be departing by mutual consent this week and reading a little into Wise’s comments last week you get the impression that he hadn’t been seen all week until the ‘chat’ on Friday.

Shame really as he could have been a powerhouse in the midfield and a cracking influence off the pitch to the younger players.   But if he’s not committed to the cause I’d rather see him depart on good terms rather than allow the situation to fester.

Ince is on £4,000 p.w.  Not sure of your sources DV but my source was pretty confident of Mr Ince's weekly pay.

Back to subject, I heard this on the radio this morning, if Ince does decide to leave he'll go up in my estimation, it's obvious that it's not been his greatest decision, the travelling's too much and he's no way near match fit yet.

I don't think we saw anywhere near what a fit Paul Ince could offer his club. If he can't commit to the club fair enough.

Buit f it's because we cant afford him then I'll be asking for a free swap of my Ince shit - though they'll never say that is the reason if he leaves.

I have to say, I never once thought it would be a good move to sign him, and alarm bells started ringing the seconds he said he would be "commuting" from Liverpool or wherever he lives....That hardly shows commitment, and if he didn't want to uproot his family etc. he should have just looked for a club which was a bit closer to where he lived.

A complete and utter waste of time if you ask me.

Not a complete waste of time, least we can still have a giggle at the few people who decided to get "Ince 4" on the back of their shirts!!

I'm with DV on the wages.

We were up to the 60% limit before Ince's deal, and £65k was put in place to cover the necessary increase in revenue.  That would suggest around £100k a year, or £2k a week (and I presume the wages limit must include the players maximum earning for the year).
