....anyone else notice we seem to have dispensed with this, I'm guessing as one of many cost cutting measures.

Personally I think its why we're now crap......with it, you have a simple mental  cue to the players about the need for urgency and tempo....without it , they too easily lapse into strolling around passing on responsibility.

i thought the match we used it was much more enjoyable to watch as the game flowed and the players didn't lose concentration, i definatly think we should use it.

Don't the balls get supplied byu the Football League? Which would ruin your theory of it being a cost-cutting exercise

May be wrong of course

I think you're right R4E, and as the ball boys aren't paid, it can hardly be considered a cost cutting exercise.

That could be true. But just because they're suppied by the league doesn't mean they are free.

Our players lack urgency because they're not as good as they think they are imo

If they don't get their act together, we'll come a nasty cropper at Accrington for sure....after a slow start they are on a bit of a roll, certainly better form than us.

They also score rather than concede last minute goals....we can't afford any complacency.

We shed about 1000 fans after the Posh debacle, allied with the Boardroom shite....we need to get the momentum going forward again, this is the art of of good management.

I think our players are not as fit as we think they are. The multi ball system will merely exaggerate this problem near the end of matches.
