I said time and again to workmates when all the rumours about Leeds and West Brom were flying about that there was no way he'd leave so soon.

Why would he walk so soon, it'd put no faith in future clubs because they'd be worried if they signed him he'd walk when the next good offer comes along. I could never see him leaving before the end of the season, especially for Leeds!

I agree. Leeds would have been an odd choice. Hardly an ideal job to walk into and he still hasn't really made a name for himself. He needs to get a bit of success under his belt by getting us atleast into the play-offs before he looks elsewhere

Correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't he take Millwall, a fairly unfashionable Championship club at the time, to the FA Cup Final and into Europe not too many seasons ago? Since he left, they've been relegated.

Either that or alzheimers is setting in...
