Ace, I love you dv. You don't really have to buy me a pint. I'm just scared of going on my own.

I'm still at work, not that I'd have been able to made it anyway.

Can someone please fire up the minutes when they get back.  Cheers...

Summary from John70 on myonly.....

Quote
I'll just briefly summarize the evenings events as I'm sure some others will provide more detail.

Paul Davis kicked things off by basically describing the chain of events that brought us all together this evening. He pointed out that there weren't going to be any shocking 'revelations', only basic facts. He did provide his own personal interpretation and his own thoughts on various points but on the whole was just bringing everyone up-to-date on the current situation.

Andrew Hounsell took the mike afterwards and described the recent meeting the Trust and other parties had had with, I believe, the late lamented Bob Holt(snigger), earlier this week. Again much of this info is already on various STFC messageboards.

Following Andrew, Michael Wilkes took the stage - aka - arthurhorsfield - who, in my semi-pissed state, I mistook for Mark Devlin. He's a dead ringer, I tell thee.
M.W cut to the chase and gave his forthright views some of which made perfect sense and I noted a lot of people nodding in approval. Michael wants to form a consortium to buy out or shift the current incumbents but Paul Davis countered by stating whether this was the best way forward as we didn't want to be seen to scaring the Wills family away rough-shod.
There was a Q and A session and there was also a Borough Councillor from Stratton present who offered to help if at all possible.
Various votes were taken about how we should proceed although there was a little hiccup when someone suggested whether we knew all of the facts.

The turn-out was poor. I was hoping for 300+. I reckon there were barely 75 people present in the room.
One of our biggest problems could be apathy.
For shame.

I'm sure arthurhorsfield (Michael) will be on in due course to properly describe the evening.
